Jennifer Friesen

Jennifer has worked caring for animals and people for most of her life. She graduated with honours from the Applied Counselling Program at the University of Manitoba and has worked with youth and adults in a variety of supportive roles. As she continued her professional development, Jennifer become a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.

As she continued her professional development, Jennifer became a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada.

Jennifer is registered with the Professional Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness and continues her work through their trainers and mentors. She believes in the immense value of this work as a complementary addition to improved mental health and well-being.

Animal-Assisted Counsellor

Jennifer has also received training from the University of Guelph in Horse Behavior and Safety as well as several local horsemanship trainers and is a member of the Manitoba Horse Counsel, having completed various coaching programs with them.

Jennifer has lived in the beautiful rural setting of Stuartburn, Manitoba with her husband for over 12 years. They have several furry family members including horses, donkeys, and, of course, the cat and dog supervisors. Jennifer considers it an honor to be able to provide services to this community and looks forward to building a support network that offers clients the services that they need to live happier, more fulfilling lives.
